Oh hello there, I’m not posting a sign-up post for longrunning read-a-thon Bout of Books at midnight you are… *ahem*

I’ve honestly had this on my to-do list all week but with all I had going on with getting the blog set up and then going outside on Friday and dealing with post-vaccine brain fog, I am only now getting around to it. Better late than never! 

So for those of you who don’t know or perhaps don’t remember, I used to take part in Bout of Books all the time back when I was blogging at Once Upon a Time, I believe I even helped with one or two of them? We’re going back a great many years so don’t quote me on that, but Kelly and Amanda were always fun people I’ve remembered fondly, and to see that they aren’t just still around but still running this fun little read-a-thon all these years later is delightful! 

This is my post to say “I’m doing it, I will read books this week and take part in a community thingy.” I have joined the Discord and my challenge to myself is to just read a bit this week because last week was a total washout on that front. ANYWHO! That is all from me for now. 

The Bout of Books readathon is organized by Amanda Shofner and Kelly Rubidoux Apple. It’s a weeklong readathon that begins 12:01am Monday, August 16th and runs through Sunday, August 22nd in YOUR time zone. Bout of Books is low-pressure.
