Yet to Read is the weekly meme where I take a look at books on my shelves (physical and digital) that I haven’t gotten around to reading yet and books on my wishlist that I’ve wanted to add to my shelves for a while. I link these posts up to Can’t-Wait Wednesday and Shelf Control!

This week I’m highlighting some Dungeons & Dragons fiction as I spent a couple days prepping for my game and I’m in the mood. I’m always a little trepidatious of fiction in this area as I know there’s some proper pulpy stuff out there. As fun as it is, it’s not really what I’m looking for.

I picked up Homeland a few years ago. I was on one at the time and also picked up the first Dragonlance book, I pretty much wanted to delve into series that felt like a Dungeons & Dragons game, or at least had similar vibes, so I started with the big two. Still haven’t read through either though!

On The Wishlist

Critical Role is one of my favourite fandoms. I dunno I’d actually consider myself part of the fandom? Or a critter… those terms didn’t originate in my spaces online and they always felt like somebody else’s labels, but I love the whole thing so my weird bugbear aside, of course I want to read Kith & Kin, the first novel set within Exandria! So much, in fact, it’s one of just 3 books I have on preorder right now. The stories they tell are incredible and I’m so excited to read this one.
